Developing Joint Masters Programmes for Europe
Results of the EUA Joint Masters Programme (March 2002
- Jan 2004)
The European
University Association (EUA) believes that the Joint Masters Pilot
Project was conceived and carried out at a particularly opportune
moment. Joint Masters programmes are increasingly being looked to
as innovative instruments to improve inter-institutional cooperation
in Europe, and to respond to particularly European academic and
labour market needs. This project has therefore offered the opportunity
to gain a comprehensive understanding of the practical experiences
and lessons learned from existing joint programmes being implemented
by over 100 of our member universities across Europe.

Recognition
of foreign qualifications
A guide for recognition specialists, Varšava 2004.
"This
guide provides basic information and knowledge regarding academic
and professional recognition – the political background, the legal
instruments as well as the practical procedures for recognition.
It is basically meant as an introduction and reference for recognition
specialists, but it may also be found useful by professional associations,
ministries in charge of particular regulated professions, higher
education institutions."
This material was prepared in terms of Dutch
Matra project MATO2/PL/9/1 “Strategy for Recognition of European
Professional qualifications” Written by Andrejs Rauhvargers – project
expert for WP 4. It was kindly agreed by the Polish Bureau for Academic
Recognition that this text is given a wider publicity through the
ACE website http://www.aic.lv/ace/default.htm

A
Method For Mutual Recognition
Experiences with a method for mutual recognition of quality
assurance agencies
Helsinki,
2002, ENQA
"The five Nordic countries have cooperated systematically
in the field of higher education quality assurance for about ten
years now. In practical terms this has meant that the representatives
of the respective national quality assurance agencies have convened
once a year to annual meetings where new projects have been initiated,
evaluated and completed."

Transnational
European Evaluation Project (TEEP)
Methodological Reflections (na
engleskom)
Helsinki,
2004., ENQA
"The Transnational European Evaluation Project was a pilot
project, which investigated the operational implications of European
transnational quality evaluation of study programmes in three subject
areas: History, Physics, and Veterinary Science. In total, fourteen
programmes in eleven different European countries were evaluated.
The objectives of TEEP were to develop further a method for transnational
external evaluation, building on experiences, such as the TUNING
Project and the Dublin descriptors developed through the Joint Quality
Initiative, to identify potential obstacles to transnational evaluation
and to indicate strategies that may be used to overcome them, and
to contribute to greater awareness, transparency and compatibility
within European higher education."
